Interactive specification FAQs
Interactive specifications are a way to explore Siplast products and systems and generate a project spec based on the information you entered.
The interactive specifications tool is able to provide you with files of specifications, details, and product data sheets for the system you have entered.
Standard browser PDF viewers do not support the embedded interactive form fields, dynamic drop-down menus, and custom layering capabilities built into the drawing. Viewing the document in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader enables interactive layer selection and ensures all dynamic components render correctly.
- Open the file: Download the PDF and open it directly inside Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
- Identify interactive layers: Navigate to the assembly diagram (e.g., Roof Assembly) where callout lines point to individual system layers.
- Make layer selections: Click on the drop-down menu arrows next to a layer label (e.g., selecting specific membrane options like Paradiene 20, Paradiene 20 EQ, or Paradiene 20 HT TG) to update that specific layer in the drawing.
- Access system links: Click the embedded action links located directly under the assembly diagram (SPECIFICATION, DETAILS, or PRODUCT DATA SHEETS).
- Cross-reference details: Selecting DETAILS links directly to pre-filtered library entries or corresponding detail drawing numbers associated with your selected assembly.
- Save a copy: Once you have made all product layer selections, click File > Save As in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
- Store for documentation: Save the file to your project directory; this preserves your specific layer configuration, selected detail references, and custom product choices for future submittals or archival.
