Standard vs. extended polyiso panel systems
Extended panel systems utilize longer tapered panel repeats, meaning more tapered and less fill layers to accelerate installation, reduce layers, less panel installs, and less adhesive applications. Extended panels are available in 4' x 4' and 4' x 8' in all slopes.
PRE-CUT ADVANTAGES
Minimize material waste with factory tapered pre-cut polyiso products
Minimize material waste with factory pre-cut polyiso products with less waste, lower field fabrication costs, and manage labor constraints on the jobsite with precision-engineered, factory-cut insulation components.
- Pre-cut hips and valleys: These components ship directly to your jobsite, ready to install as a seamless part of your custom tapered design. Hips slope outward, and Valleys slope inward. These waste-reducing solutions are available across a select number of tapered panel designations within our portfolio.
- Pre-cut sumps: Pre-fabricated to create 4 way slope directs rainwater to the lowest point of the slope to ensure continuous drainage. Each pre-cut sump has factory-applied circle marks to guide installation crews when cutting out the center for the drain. Only available in high-performance Paratherm G CG (25 psi) panels in a Q1 and Q2 sump. Limited availability.

Tapered design FAQs
Tapered insulation provides slope on low-slope or flat roofs, which effectively guides rainwater toward drains and eliminates the risk of ponding water. By preventing standing water, it protects the roofing membrane from premature degradation, and can help extend the roof's service life and reduce structural weight stress.
Siplast tapered insulation systems utilize Polyisocyanurate (polyiso) and Expanded Polystyrene (EPS). Polysiso provides a high R-value and exceptional fire resistance, while EPS is a cost-effective and highly customizable option for thick fills. The Siplast Tapered Design Group can guide you on which solution would be best suited for your specific project.
